In commemoration of The Hundreds San Francisco's 6-year anniversary, The Hundreds reunites with Bay Area hip-hop legends Hieroglyphics for a limited run of three exclusive tees. These tees will be available only at the THSF and www.shophiero.com, starting at 11AM PST, Thursday, March 20, 2014. On the evening of this date, The Hundreds will be hosting a one-night-only event celebrating the store's anniversary at POST Street. Exclusively for THSF's anniversary, a POST X Hieroglyphics mixtape will be available for download on TheHundreds.com and www.hieroglyphics.com mixed byDJ ICEWATER.
Bobby Hundreds grew up on the esteemed Bay Area collective's music, and all of the tees include some of his favorite elements from the Hieroglyphics legacy. From a Souls of Mischief lyric from the renowned album 93 'til Infinity, to a spin on an OG Del Tha Funkee Homosapien tee that, according to urban hip-hop folklore, is based on a napkin self-portrait Del drew. The Hundreds is thrilled to unite again with the Hiero crew in commemoration of THSF's 6th year running.
The Hundreds "Del Face" T-shirt features Del Tha Funkee Homosapien's iconic self-portrait illustration on the front and a reappropriated The Hundreds X Hieroglyphics bomb logo at the top back. The shirt will be available in three colors.
The "Emcees" tee is emblazoned with the Souls of Mischief lyrics "Emcees Should Know Their Limitations" from their legendary 93 'til Infinity album. The collaborative bomb logo will be at the top back with "Souls of Mischief" stamped under. The shirt will be available in three colors.
The "Overthrow" long sleeve features the The Hundreds X Hieroglyphics bomb graphic across the front and top back, with all the members of Hieroglyphics' logos throughout the sleeves. The shirt will be available in three colors.
All tees are limited run and available only at www.shophiero.com and THSF, starting March 20, 2014 at 11:00AM PST.

Infrared light in the electromagnetic field exists but we cannot see it with our own eyes. Here it is offered as a metaphor for the clandestine or the disguised. Rum in this context is a metaphor for slavery and colonialism by the minority who control the masses. When it comes to thought provoking, street-bred raw lyricism, The Wu-Tang Clan's fountain of wisdom, GZA takes his job very seriously. The way he crafts his double-edged rhyme flow mirrors the skill and precise technique of one who works with fine ceramics. GZA's metaphoric and multi-layered lyrics are often touted by critics as his rap name implies; genius.
Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in every borough of New York City, The GZA's workmanship can be found three albums deep with classics dating back to 1991 including the albums Words From The Genius, the gold-selling Liquid Swords and Beneath The Surface. Before his days of microphone notoriety, GZA found himself, during the early ages of rap music, traveling throughout New York City sharpening his rap skills in scattered rhyme battles. "I've studied rap in every borough," the GZA says proudly. "I've been rhyming before a lot of these cats out here were born. We've [Wu Tang Clan] always drank, ate and slept hip-hop. I love it."
On his latest blockbuster album Legend Of The Liquid Sword, The GZA makes reference to his hip- hop foundation on the reflective "What We Die For." "I grew up around B-Boys, DJs, MCs, through rap, never thinking in ways of TV," the Genius raps. "It was strictly all about magnificent rhyme clout."
You might know Jonathan Owens aka Casual as the co-founder of the Oakland based supergroup Hieroglyphics. However, If you look deeper, you learn that he is a self taught historian, linguistics expert, and highly heralded as “your favorite rappers favorite rapper”. Casual leaves listeners inspired to define their musical experience referencing current events, ancient Egypt and just about everything in between. Known for his fierce battle tactics and unique wordplay he established a reputation for dissecting even the hardest MCs. Chris Witt of Allmusic explains “ Casual produces an unending and seemingly unstoppable flow of boasts and taunts, the simplicity of his message belies the complexity of his vicious wordplay.” From his critically acclaimed major label debut “Fear Itself”, classic crew albums “Full Circle” and “Third Eye Vision” to indie direct to fan projects like “Rapgod” and “Hierophant” Casual has continued to push the envelope building a legendary catalog and cult following.
In addition to touring globally Casual has been just as active on the business side starting a production company “Wetworks Films”, launching the “Hiero Day Festival” and most recently pioneering “Hiero Coin” a new digital currency.
2014 is shaping up to be the biggest year to date for Casual as he prepares for the 20 year anniversary of what might be his most popular album “Fear Itself”. The celebration will kick off with a world tour where he will be performing the original album in its entirety and continue throughout the year with a unique look back at the project and its impact. - See more at: http://hieroglyphics.com/artists/casual#sthash.nlsssRoq.dpuf
